Veritas - Expenses Tracker

Effective date: September 30, 2026

Veritas - Expenses Tracker is a personal expense tracking app designed to help users record income, purchases, anticipated bills, anticipated checks, and projected balances.

Information We Collect

Veritas does not require personal information for local-only use.

If a user chooses to create an account, Veritas processes the user's email address, authentication identifier, and household membership through Supabase.

Financial Information

The app allows users to enter financial-related information, such as income, expenses, bills, checks, categories, dates, and notes.

Financial information is stored locally by default. If a user explicitly enables Shared financial data, ledger and upcoming information is also stored in Supabase and made available to authenticated members of that household. It is not sold or used for advertising.

Local Storage

The app saves data on the user's device so the user's balance, ledger, anticipated bills, and anticipated checks remain available between app sessions.

If a user deletes the app or clears app data, locally stored information may be deleted.

Backups and Imports

The app may allow users to export a backup file or import a backup file.

Backup files are created and controlled by the user. Users are responsible for storing, protecting, and sharing those files safely.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade user data. Supabase processes optional account, household, entitlement, and enabled shared-financial data on Veritas's behalf. RevenueCat and Google Play process purchase and subscription information used to provide Veritas Plus. Veritas does not provide these services with locally stored ledger data unless the user explicitly enables household sharing.

Ads and Tracking

Veritas does not contain ads and does not use third-party advertising networks, analytics trackers, or behavioral tracking tools in the current version.

Internet Access

The Android app uses internet access for optional authentication, shared households, purchase entitlement checks, and enabled shared-financial data. Local-only expense tracking remains available without creating an account.

Account and Data Deletion

Signed-in users can permanently delete their Veritas account from Settings. Account deletion removes the authentication account, profile, invitations, household membership, and associated cloud data. If an owner deletes an account while other household members remain, household ownership transfers to a remaining member. If no members remain, the household and its cloud ledger are deleted.

Users can also use the Veritas account deletion webpage. Records stored only on a user's device remain under that user's control and can be erased from Veritas Settings or by clearing the app's data. Deleting a Veritas account does not automatically cancel a Google Play subscription.

Children's Privacy

Veritas is intended for general personal finance use and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Security

Users should protect their device with normal security measures such as a passcode, biometric lock, and secure backups.

No method of electronic storage is completely secure. Optional authentication, household membership, and enabled shared financial data is transmitted to Supabase using encrypted network connections.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy if the app's features change. Updates will be reflected by changing the effective date above.
